Ruffles Cottage

Ruffles Cottage sleeps up to four guests and is a cosy, comfy retreat ideal for couples, friends or families. Nestling in the heart of the attractive medieval village of Dunster in Somerset, Ruffles Cottage offers all the ‘mod-cons’ required for a relaxing holiday, combined with traditional character including a wood-burning stove.

With two bedrooms (a double and a twin), a pretty little courtyard area with furniture to the rear of the cottage and the use of a garden (shared) just a few doors away, this is an ideal retreat at any time of the year.

Dating back to 1844, Ruffles Cottage sits in front of St. George’s Church with its melodious church bells and affords distant views of Conygar Tower, along with a glimpse of Dunster Castle. There are plenty of good walks starting from the front door that take you up on the moor accessed via Grabbist Hill (a few steps away), the deer park and the castle grounds.

Dunster is a vibrant village surrounded by the beautiful backdrop of Exmoor National Park. The village offers a good choice of restaurants, tea rooms and pubs to suit all tastes, along with independent shops to browse and a Tourist Information Centre to help you plan your holiday. Some shops stay open late during the busy summer months and you can purchase everything from gifts and jewellery to local produce for preparing supper.
