Dunster Castle Hotel

The Dunster Castle Hotel is a beautiful, recently refurbished Grade II listed building located on the main high street in Dunster Village. Full of style and comfort, it offers a range of rooms, from luxurious to smaller, well-appointed spaces. One room is specifically set aside for dog owners, complete with a separate entrance.

The hotel is perfect for hosting weddings, functions, or large group bookings. Simply contact the hotel directly to discuss your requirements. Breakfast is typically served from 8am to 10am, while the bar is open from 6pm to 9.30pm most evenings. On Sunday and Monday evenings, the restaurant is open for dinner from 6pm, with last orders at 8.30pm (booking is recommended).

Residents are welcome to bring their own food and favourite bottle of wine or even order a takeaway. You can enjoy your meal in the bar, where we’ll provide plates, glasses, and cutlery, and even do the washing up. This has proven to be a popular option among guests, offering a more affordable alternative.

For those who prefer dining out, there are several excellent restaurants and bars within walking distance of the hotel. Upon booking, we will send a list of local eateries and strongly advise making reservations during busier times. Additionally, a lovely delicatessen next door offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy some cheese and port in the bar if you wish to take a break from a large meal.

Guests are welcome to relax in our comfortable dining and restaurant areas, exclusive to residents and staff. For a bit of entertainment, you can also enjoy our elegant ballroom, where you can play the baby grand piano (if you’re able) or watch a movie on the 86” screen.

Alternatively, you may prefer to unwind in our beautiful garden, where you can take in the stunning views of Dunster, again, reserved exclusively for guests.
